Proceeds to Support Restoration, Preservation and Conservation Efforts

HONOLULU (June 22, 2016) – Royal fashion hits the streets as Reyn Spooner designs Iolani Palace, a limited edition aloha print to honor The Friends of Iolani Palace’s 50th anniversary, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the organization’s restoration, preservation and conservation efforts.

“Iolani Palace is an important part of Hawaii’s history and its rich story lives on today through the work of the Friends of Iolani Palace,” said Kirk Hubbard, III, CEO of Reyn Spooner. “It’s our honor to support their efforts to ensure the Palace can be enjoyed for generations to come.”

This Iolani Palace print features an iconic image of Iolani Palace along with the coronation pavilion and barracks, as well as other elements of Hawaiian royalty such as royal orders and kahili. The print adorns Reyn Spooner’s classic reverse-print and signature Spooner Kloth, and is from their exclusive “Made in Hawaii” line. The print is also available on women’s scarfs and canvas eco-tote bags.

“We are extremely grateful for our partnership with Reyn Spooner to commemorate the work started 50 years ago by The Friends,” said Kippen de Alba Chu, executive director of The Friends of Iolani Palace. “Through Reyn Spooner’s artistic efforts and generosity, we can continue to preserve and restore, as well as share and celebrate, the uniqueness of Iolani Palace with kamaaina and visitors from around the world. ”

The Iolani Palace print items are available at Ala Moana Center and Kahala Mall Reyn Spooner stores and come in both men’s pullover and button-down styles. The limited edition Iolani Palace print shirts retail for $118, women’s scarves for $80, and the eco-tote bags for $26.
