5:30 - 9:00 p.m.

In honor of Her Majesty Queen Kapiolani’s birthday, Iolani Palace will welcome visitors for moonlit tours from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. on December 26 and 27, 2021. Through the generous support of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, this year’s tours will be offered for free. Tickets and space are limited, and reservations are required. Reservations open on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 8:00 a.m.

For the first time since 2019, the Friends of Iolani Palace will host the Queen Kapiolani Evening Tours where guests can immerse themselves in Hawaii’s rich history. In celebration of the Queen’s birthday on December 31, the Palace will be lit and adorned with beautiful decorations. As visitors move from room to room to hear stories of the Queen’s life and legacy, live music reminiscent of the monarchy era will fill the halls.

Monarchy-era instrumental music will be provided by the Hawaii Opera Theatre.
