Iolani Palace partners with Hear Hawaii for its monthly workshop on Saturday, August 6, from 12 – 1 p.m. and 2 – 3 p.m. in Iolani Palace’s Hale Koa (Barracks) Video Theatre. The workshop is free and open to the public.

During August’s workshop, participants will read selected passages from Hawaii’s Story by Hawaii’s Queen Her Majesty Liliuokalani and discuss the educational background of our alii. There will also be conversations about the importance of moolelo (oral history) and how it has kept our language, culture and history alive throughout the years.

Spaces are limited to 20 people per group, and interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
