Iolani Palace partners with Hear Hawaii for its monthly workshop on Saturday, July 9, from 12 – 1 p.m. and 2 – 3 p.m. in Iolani Palace’s Hale Koa (Barracks) Video Theatre. The workshop is free and open to the public.

In this workshop, participants will learn about the Hae Hawaii (Hawaiian Flag), the history behind Hawaii’s national anthem, Hawaii Ponoi, and the origins of La Hoihoi Ea (Sovereignty Restoration Day). After the educational presentation, attendees will get to create a Hae Hawaii using sustainable materials that can be taken home as a souvenir. 

Spaces are limited to 20 people per group, and interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
