Iolani Palace partners with Hear Hawaii for its monthly workshop on Saturday, October 8th, from 12 – 1 p.m. and 2 – 3 p.m. in Iolani Palace’s Hale Koa (Barracks) Video Theatre. The workshop is free and open to the public.

In this workshop, participants will read selections from the book Myths and Legends of Old Hawaiʻi by His Majesty David Kalākaua and learn the history behind how this book was created and compiled. There will also be discussions about local superstitions and how some are historically or culturally connected to the stories of old Hawaii.

Spaces are limited to 20 people per group, and interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
