Hale Koa (Barracks) Video Theatre
Iolani Palace partners with Hear Hawaii for its monthly workshop on Saturday, September 10th, from 12 – 1 p.m. and 2 – 3 p.m. in Iolani Palace’s Hale Koa (Barracks) Video Theatre. The workshop is free and open to the public.
Join us for our September Hear Hawaii workshop, where participants will learn more about mookuauhau (genealogy). Genealogy work is significant in many cultures as it connects people to their kupuna (ancestors) and ancestral lands. Participants will learn about the Kumulipo, the greatest genealogy chant known to Hawaii, and assemble their family tree to compose their own mookuauhau.
Spaces are limited to 20 people per group, and interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
