We hope you will consider a gift today to help perpetuate this powerful symbol of Hawaiʻi's history and culture. Your gift is tax deductible and can be applied to a variety of areas:

  • Preservation and conservation of valuable historic objects and artifacts
  • Maintenance and repair of ʻIolani Palace, The Barracks, and other historic buildings on the premises
  • Creation and implementation of programs
  • Development of educational classes and opportunities
  • Aid in the search for and acquisition of original objects to refurnish the Palace.

Additional Ways to Give

There are many ways to give a gift now and, in the future, to support the work of The Friends of ‘Iolani Palace.

Tributes/Memorial Gifts

Honor or remember a loved one, celebrate a special occasion, or express gratitude by giving a commemorative gift. A personal acknowledgement will be sent to the individual or family honored/remembered.

Employer Matching Gifts

You can multiply your gift and make a bigger impact with a matching gift from your employer. Check with your employer and if they participate, mail us your completed employer matching gift form.

Gifts from Your Donor Advised Fund

Your gifts from your donor advised fund may be directed for day-to-day operations or a specific project need shared with you. Membership, special event fundraiser(s), and tour tickets are not eligible for gifts from your donor advised fund.

Gifts of Appreciated Property or Stock

Consider giving appreciated assets to support daily operations and programs and providing you with a tax-deduction and reduction in capital gains taxes.

Legacy Gifts

Naming The Friends of ‘Iolani Palace, EIN:99-0115665, as a beneficiary in your trust or estate plan continues your legacy and sustains ‘Iolani Palace’s for future generations.

Community Partnerships

  • Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative – Consider sponsoring a legacy tree, in support of both Hawaiʻi’s forests and ‘Iolani Palace. The Friends of ʻIolani Palace receives $30 from each sponsored legacy tree.
