The Basement Galleries of ʻIolani Palace are undergoing important renovations. During this time, the galleries are closed until further notice.

Why the Renovation?

As stewards of this sacred space, The Friends of ʻIolani Palace is dedicated to preserving and uplifting the stories of our aliʻi (chiefs), our lāhui (Hawaiian Nation), and the living history of Hawaiʻi. These improvements will allow the creation of more engaging and educational exhibits that honor the Palace’s legacy and inspire future generations.
