Iolani Palace partners with Hear Hawaii for its monthly workshop on Saturday, August 13, from 12 – 1 p.m. and 2 – 3 p.m. in Iolani Palace’s Hale Koa (Barracks) Video Theatre. The workshop is free and open to the public.
In this workshop, participants will learn about the greatest genealogy chant known to Hawaii, the Kumulipo. Also known as the creation chant which was translated by Queen Liliuokalani. Participants will compose their own moʻokūʻauhau and assemble their family tree.
Spaces are limited to 20 people per group, and interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
